This Easystar II amazes me...

With some fpv equipement and light mods, this plane can go to a very good glider to some aérobatics.

Soaring in fpv

Maydaystar in the clouds (6 min 36 sec)

and some acrobatics there :

FPV Completely immersed between flight and music :) Woooohhooooo (7 min 30 sec)

Whats a good prop size to be swinging with a NTM 2826 1100kv http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...00kv_252w.html ?

My skyscout is carrying FPV gear and weighing in at roughly 740g-850g depending on size of vtx battery and if I run separate HD recorder.

Thanks!

On 3S I'd want to use a 9x4E or 9x6E prop if the boom clearance will allow it.
Check with e-calc to make sure the motor can handle it.

I use this motor and the stock folding prop, performance is a little sedate, but suit's my cruising style of FPV just fine.

I would think the 2826 should be even more sedate, sedated perhaps

7 is max I can get without modifying motor mount. I think stock folding prop is 7x6

Heppy, Good to know. I didnt think the 2826 was too small, I just placed and order for a 2830. Any issues with the length of the motor case fitting inside cause I believe they make a 2836 as well.

I have mounted a 2836 in there.
Make sure wires don't rub on the can.

Believe it was this one.

Plenty here are using the 2836 for FPV, and Henk says, route the wires carefully and you'll be right.

Taranis template?

Hi!

I just upgraded to a Taranis X9D Plus from a DX6i and was wondering if anyone here has a template to share for the ES 2?

Heppy,

my 2830 just came in. I might order a 2836 just to be safe but how sedated is your 2830 and how heavy is your frame would you say? Do you have any issues on windy day?

COnsidering Im flying with some expensive FPV gear I dont want to risk too low of power. I'll probably just load it without fpv gear first with dummy weight and see

Here's a flight from this morning, she is getting kicked around by the sea breeze which has just begun to roll in (just my luck) it would be about 15 to 20 kmh upstairs and turbulent (as you can tell) If you have concerns about the breeze, say over 40kmh, then the bigger motor would be your best bet, and, my FPV setup is light weight, camera, vtx and Mobius out on the wing, that's it.

RunCam HD video out (7 min 13 sec)
