Driving an actuator from a standard reciever?
Is there a way to drive an actuator, either bang bang or proportional, with a standard receiver? Any kind of device that goes between the Rx and actuator, or type of Tx programming that will make it work? Just curious.

Are you referring to the standard actuators such as Del Tang and others?

I'm thinking of basic actuators like what is usually installed in toy grade stuff. To be honest, I'm trying to find an alternative to replacing an actuator with a servo in a toy grade conversion(trying to do it on the cheap, and don't care if it's proportional or not.)

It is possible to drive actuators with a servo Rx by simply using a micro servo guts:
