Have a good time tonight! And get back home safe.

I'm hoping to be in bed at 10pm.... my wife has other ideas (and she's usually very persuasive).

Just flew my dlg first time since September. Not enough flying for 2012! This forum helped supplement the loss. Hopefully there will be more opportunity to fly in 2013!

Stay safe!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year

Thanks Tom & everyone for the New Years Wishes!

2012 gave me one last gift yesterday! Early last spring I converted one of my old Blaster-1’s to a “mini-ALES” experiment. Flew great until one of our local trees just reached out bold as hell, grabbed it and held it way up there in those uppermost branches! My buddy Joe spotted it right away but we didn’t make it’s location widely known. Didn’t want any of the club’s “macho man” types killing themselves trying to get it out of there …yeah, I know, ---before anyone else says it--- Gavin coulda done it easily but he’s a bit far away! Anyway, I got into the habit of hiking the trails every few days to check it out. Yesterday, last day of the year, there she was, nose down in the snow on the hillside!

After 8 months at the top of the forest, fuselage and tail group were fine, minor stuff to the leading edge of the wing, but ALL THE ELECTRICALS, radio, ESC, servos, "How-High"altimeter, and motor, are all fully functional! Amazing stuff we fly! Never would have believed it!

So I’m wishing all of you similar good luck in 2013! May your thermals be better than you expect and may all your planes return in one piece!

I'm a bit late, but Happy New Year to all.

May all your launches get higher and your planes return from down wind.

That's cool, Barn... In fact, it was probably cold!

Say, we've got some potential new recruits coming out of the AA area for the up coming season and I think maybe even another one and possibly two from Fenton. I hear we may have a couple new guys from out your way joining us too.
DLG's a growin' by leaps and bounds, it seems.

Happy New Year to you... Looking forward to spring and seeing all you guys again.
