Build Log
Electric Blaster 2

It's finaly here, Yellow, and red isn't bad that's actualy a color scheme I like, I was realy worried I was going to get lime green, and lavander.

This machine is the stuff of dreams for me, I think I might try to take my time, and be methodicle for a change, which will take a while because what little time I have for building will realy drag this out that's alright though I have plenty of other kits to fly.

The pod has plenty of room with a difty snap fit canopy with a recessed finger depression so you can get ahold of it.

The kit came with the DLG stab, and no Stab mount/ servo cover deal which is kind of a bummer, but I'll just make my own.

I'm kind of short on time this afternoon so this right up is going to be kind of short.

Take care, Ploof

They are an awsome little airplane. They look very good. What will you power it with?

Hi Skyzking in Brisbane,

Bob in Seattle here. Just to let you know, the fuse comes in two versions. You can get an out runner, or an inrunner version. So you have to know what your power is before you order it. Ploof and I are on the waiting list for the planes. I didn't get mine, because my color choise didn't come in on the first batch of planes. I'll be waiting for the second batch, and hope it has my colors.

As far as the system goes for starters I'm going to use a pretty mellow lighter weight setup,

Axi 2208/34
Jeti spin 11
910mah 3cell Thunder Power

-if this comes up short on the climb rate,

Axi 2208/20
Jeti spin 22
910mah 3cell Thunder Power

Take care, Ploof

Hey Bob!

What colors are you looking for? ... and what color choices are there? Looked on the KC site, but don't see any information yet.

Looks like a fun ship!

Hi Rob in Napa,

Bob in Seattle here. It's a crap shoot on colors. He gets what they send him from the factory. He has no control over it. I want yellow and blue, or red or white. Some combination of any of those. I like white fuse's. I'm very paitent, I'll wait till hell freezes over if I have to.
A friend of mine gave be a bottle of Babich Pinot Gris from New Zealand. They must be neighbors of Nobilo, both in the Marlbourgh reigon. A little light on the finish, but very good.

Damn that is groovy Yuri, I went threw 2 of those myself I still wake up screaming in the middle of the night, reliving the crashes.

I spent a little time out in the garage setting up the stab mount/ servo tray thingy, it's not much more then rectangular bump in one side of the stab. Kind of like what is shown on Vladimirs web site.

I've got the area sleeved in a latex glove, then 2' CF tape covering the same area, with a freezer bag over that, then 1/2" neopreme(scuba suit fabric stuff), with two boards clamped to the point of maybe this is to much.

I have a vacuum pump, but it's not assembled.

Here's a couple pics of my older Blasters that are no longer with us.

Also here's a pic from Vladimirs site that shows what I'm trying to do.

Ah, it was a gladiator G2-E I saw at Icare, not the blaster. Doh'

So these are available from Kennedy composites in US - anywhere else other than direct from Vladamir?

Anyway whilst purusing through Icare's site I came across this little motor which looks like it would suit the blaster with outrunner firewall nicely

cheers, Shawn
