What Plane Is This?

Saw this picture on the Avro Arrow thread. It was posted by Avro Fan.

He posted it as a guide to "glassing" a float.

I'd like to BUILD it -- or one kinda like it.

Could not find any other posts by him as to what this plane is, or if there is a thread on it.

Anybody recognize it ??

The wing and tail planform look like the Staggerbee. However it is a profile model and likely a scratchbuild. Notice the booms aft of the floats to the tail.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Not sure why they are there. Seems like way too much vert stab area...

I'll check out the Staggerbee. Thanks for the tip.

Looks like a flat foam version of the Speedy Bee, with skis or floats added.
(of the Clancy "Lazy Bee" range of relaxed-fun balsa models)

Easiest way to find out is to ask avro-fan, send him a PM, (the tiny envelope beneath his avatar).

I took a look at the Lazy Bee, and as Perttime said, I think it's a profile version of one of the 'Bee family. May be close enough to rough out some plans.

I'll keep looking, but if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know!

For a Speedy Bee (balsa) plan, see:
http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=2315

It doesn't have skis or floats, so inspiration for those has to come from elsewhere.

There was a Lazy Bee with floats, produced as a kit some time ago.

Possibly the built up version of what may be a scratch built profile --
