New Mig-29, 2x70mm fans, 1514mm length

Hello there,

the rumour mill from the Shanghai model show reports: Lanxiang is preparing a new, big, grey Mig-29 with 2x70mm fans and an overall length of 1514mm. It is about as big as their Su-47. Guessing from the picture given on the homepage of Ready2Fly (http://www.ready2fly.ch/), then the novelties & features seem to include:
  • Ailerons and separate flaps (nice)
  • Leading edge slats (that's new!)
  • Fully functional tail rudders in addition to 360 TV
  • An ejectable Pete ahem Pilot (SCNR Pete)
  • Bomb drop and coloured smoke facility

When this plane will actually ship is a big unknown. Lanxiang themselves wrote only "F16, F18 and Mig29 will come soon" at one of their sites (http://lxhm.en.ecplaza.net/).

Does anybody else have any infos, particularly pictures?

Cheers,
Henrik

Lanxiang is really becoming a force to be reckoned with. Lots of really cool stuff. Man i wish theyd do a scaled up version of their SR-71 or even their B-2....wouldn't that be awesome.

Very excited to see info on their new releases...thanks for the heads up.

The wings are way off scale on that mig. The raptor looks half way decent. The coolest thing is that C-17 in that link. Now that is really cool.

You can't do a twin F-18 AND do retracts unless they are scale like rotating retracts. There's been one F-18 foam arf with retracts and they wanted so much money for it they never really sold that well. Plus I read the retracts were flimsy and also from the pics the nose shape was really off.

I don't miss the twin sound at all on my F-18s, theyr'e both singles. I also don't have to bungee them since they have retracts.

I like the size of these birds, 59 inches long....bigger does fly better and can carry larger wheels to handle rough surfaces.

Wow. That C17 is pretty impressive. Ready2Fly is a great site. There's a big Jug and Spit on the Warbirds page too.

It was still there when I posted at 1:30AM busting teha's chops. Luckily I copied the pic before then. Here it is. That thing looks cool. I do hope they make it available.

More Mig-29 pictures and a shipping date

Hello there,

ready2fly from Switzerland (no, I am not associated with them and I hope they don't kill me for quoting their pictures, I'll buy the plane from them anytime if I am forced to, hehe) have posted new pictures and specs from the upcoming Lanxiang Mig-29. It looks pretty damn good. We are talking about 17 servos now :-), colour smoke rockets and a shipping date of June. We have rudders, ailerons, separate flaps, possibly slats.

Length: 1514mm
Wing Span: 1142mm
2 x 2850KV motor
2 x 70mm Fan, 2 x 50A ESC with 5A BEC
360 tv
Ejectable cockpit

Interesting!

Cheers,
Henrik

If you go to the F-22 page there's a video of the F-22 fling with he smoke on. Pretty interesting effect. I wonder if smoke missle replacements are available?
