Rough week

I'm attempting to fly again after 5 years off.
Lets see Rusty Hands yields
1 SA EDGE killed due improper radio programming
1SA Groove bipe kit bash-upside down bad inputs
1 nitro yak 54- motor mount self destruct on maiden
This morning pile
1SA CAP 232- my best pattern plane. 9 years old. Did perfect rolling
Circles off take off. Spun it into the tree.
1 seagull 540 72"- popped the cheap shy wing 100amp esc. My bad for
Cheap parts. Oh it was a maiden too.
Needing a hatch for a AJ SLICK 70" if anyone has one.

Ouch! Sounds like you could have used a little warm up first!

I did! Actually i would really like to blame you, and some guy named Buck 1.5 at 3dhs!
But I can't. I know better, I got comfortable, my brain wasn't wired correctly.
3 crashes my fault. 2 my fault old equipment, no tripple double checks.
Dissapointment, pain, and reality just setting in.
But i still have 3 planes so all is well i guess. And ive got lotsof hobby time to look forward to when my new SA kits get here.

Foam is your friend! Balsa flys better but it's just too delicate in a crash. Foamies glue right back together and you are in the air the same day. Sorry for your loss! You seem determined so good luck and HAVE FUN!

Please tell me this is a joke. I can't imagine jumping off the deep end like this after a 5 year hiatus. Watching a few videos is no replacement for stick time with a trainer or at least a sim to get your thumbs properly recalibrated.

You might consider backing up a little and trying a plane that's a bit more tame for your next outing.

I hope it works out!

sometimes you just need to take a break for a week or 2 and regroup

And I was annoyed this morning because I had a ground bounce that required a firewall repair (which I just finished).

This thread puts it in proper perspective.
