49MHz is pretty much just for ready made RC. To get a matching one would need a chat with Nikko.
The radio in the boat has all the items on one board, using hobby grade you would need a receiver and a speed control and a servo to work the rudder. If there is no rudder, 2 ESCs and a transmitter that can mix.
Good news and bad news.
With modern 2.4GHz, it would probably fit in the same space, thats the good news. The bad news is that even a low price outfit would probably cost more that the boat is worth in strict cash terms.
