GLO:

Maiden the Pylon Seagle.
its crazy fast and maneuverable.

the 2200kv motor really freak us out when we first launch it.
good thing for the minor modification on the original eagle to fit pylon style flying
cruising just 1/4 throttle only. at 1/2 throttle it really pick up speed

Pylon Seagle (4 min 16 sec)

another issue did came up while we were flying this thing . the torque from the 5x5 prop is trying to roll this thing around. reason to limit the throttle.

he even try to flat spin it.

Woo-hoo! ! Congrats Speedy ☆

That thing flies like a dream* I knew with your skills, it was going to fly.
Did you add a little down-right to the motor after filming to counteract the torqueing? Or you just know to not give it too much throttle?

I saw that rough landing at the end. Is the bird ok? Let us know.

Again, Great job, man!

its ok , still intact , that was a Flat spin test , then after the recovery its just not enough altitude to pull out . but the landing is on grass so ,its no problem.

my friend told me he would add motor angle modification later on. also will be doing just conservative flying not more than 50% throttle.

funny is He dint expect it to be that fast.
future modification may add the Ailerons on and flatten the dihedral. that way we can use the motor to full potential.

well its gratifying seeing what you have spend hours building . rewarding with a spectacular flight performance.

Isn't it gratifying ... .having your vision come to reality!

When you flatten the poly-hedral, you may have to enlarge the V-tail for better yaw support. I tell myself, 'the more area the air sees, the larger the rudder/v-stab needs to be. Or just give it a sub-rudder.

You have to remember that the epp eagle like birds have wider and longer wingspan hence lower wing loading. And you have a relatively small bird. Why not build a Larger bird. You're comparison is like comparing a F-14 tomcat to a F-16 falcon.

But to my delight and relief, the hawk was more stable than I gave it credit for.

I had two settings. 1, the ailerons were spoilerons moving with the main elevons for banking. 2, the ailerons move as "regular" ailerons with the main elevons. The 2nd proved to be the best for this airframe!

It was a pleasure to fly and I'm glad I applied the KF-ed wing tips , which provides good stability as well as predictably. That's all I was looking for. Im glad that this Frankenstein of a bird kit didn't crashed as the others ALWAYS have. With the exception of Lee's 2nd version Epp Falcon. Im glad someone on the other forum posted a video of Pauls Naton's Parkzone RAIDEN modification clinic, the principals in it were Valuable!

Enjoy

Your G-hawk flys more predictable.
