The Great GRAUPNER MC-20 HOTT

Hello people i want to share with you my opinions after getting my first GRAUPNER radio from www.espritmodel.com......

Y fell in love with tray style radios a long time ago, (20 years in the hobby), and after using Futaba and JR i decided to make a change...

I have chosen the MC-20 HOTT radio, (sold my Futaba 12z), i have now 5 days with it, gonna test fly with it on sunday, and so far, getting to know the radio, the programming screens, the way Graupner makes things are really diferent for me.....

First, the Screens are so simple that confused me the first time, but after i found the manual (deep inside in the radio metal case), everything was really easy to understand, in fact, the manual gives you some examples to use in each function..

I am amazed at this screen:

First time i see the 2.4 band represented in a radio, Tx and Rx.....

Love the telemetry screen....

i find very interesting to know the min Rx voltage and Temp...

I have to say that this is a very impresive radio, awesome looks, feels really good, impresive programing power, lots of things new for me, lots of improvements for my models and my flying style, this radio has it all, and the best (for me) was the price.........

in a couple days i will fly with it the first time and will continue this post....

That is a nice looking radio. I have been tempted to pull the trigger on it as well. I converted to tray and really like it.

Congratulations with this excellent choice! My personal favorite and radio of choice for sailplanes, quads and FPV.

I think it is very nice also. And not too expensive. It is good that they have put the telemetry screen at the top rather than the usual stupid place at the bottom. Two separate screens are nice too. I have been particularly tempted by the MC-32.

I see you have put long knobs on many of the switches. Were the ergonomics poor so you had to do that?

I haven't had mine very long, I haven't flown with it yet. How did you access the signal strength (2.4 bar graph) screen? I haven't seen that yet.

Stevepilot:

To get the status screen you must have TX and RX turned on... (confirm telemetry info on top screen...)
Enter menu on left keypad
Now choose RF STATUS VEW...

there you go.

Today i finally tested the radio..... Is is the best experience i have had in 20 years with a new system in my hands...... Listening music makes it a lot better. Flipping a switch to hear a voice tell me the time i have in flight its amazing..... The connection i feel with the airplane is very positive very sensible and precise......
From programing to setting de airplane to make it fly as i wish and finally landing after a perfect flight is simply Amazing..... I am preparing a text with organized ideas to make this more like a review.... So far.... I am really HAPPY today....
