The Beginner's Guide to Multicopters *MODS STICKY?

I often get asked many of the same questions from individuals seeking to build their first multicopter and I also find it very common for the most basic principles of building a multicopter to be questioned over and over again on forums by people who are new to the hobby. Therefore, I thought that it would be a great resource to offer a manual that accounts for the very basics of multicopters and remote control equipment. I will host the manual at the link below and keep it updated with the most current revisions. Please PM me if you have something that you would like to see added or corrected. Enjoy

Very nice work. I'm sure this will be useful to many new pilots. Well done.

Very very nice. This would of helped me a ton when I first got started! RCG is a great place, but its very messy and unorganized.

Agreed, I tried to cover the basics and keep it all as organized as possible. This won't be very helpful for those with previous experience, but I think it will help a lot for people that have never flown a multicopter or even a rc heli or plane. I also made some minor changes earlier to a mistake that was caught by Dave, if anyone else has recommendations or corrections, let me know.

That would be great to get the thread stickied, but I'm not too sure how to go about doing so. I guess for the time being it will need to acquire more interest from other members before the mods consider a sticky.

I've encountered Adams site many times during my xaircraft build, its fantastic and detailed.

Hes very good at explaining things and seems to enjoy doing so. This will be a good one.

The megathread should have links newbie guides at the top. This and oddcopters stuff (like how to wire everything) is very useful when you're new.
