this is like 'ending poverty'. It doesn't actually solve the problem, which is insoluble, it merely subsidizes it, and thus expands it.

It's been tried before. They call them "projects" and they are crime-ridden.

We could bring back slavery. Then all the homeless would have good jobs, plenty to eat, and a place to sleep. They would be safer, too.

"Soylent Green" had a solution, it comes with a last meal from Howard Johnson's.

Mind you I read the book, the movie left a lot out.

Are you really serious???? I can't believe it. But then again, look at all those Democrat voters if they'd get free housing, free internet, free food, Why should anybody work? Just stay at home and wait for all the goodies that the Govt. would give you.

One big hole in all of his posts... In 30 years who will be left to loot to help pay for it.

That's exactly right. That is nothing else except paying people NOT to go to work. Why should anybody work if they can get free housing, food stamps, obammykare, free internet, etc. That is one stupid idea.

I'd like to see a study on the most solid Dem stronghold cities and see the proportion of individuals who have never actually earned a single penny legally their entire lives.

The point was that it costs MORE to leave people on the street-which we're already spending. I suppose we could just line them all up and shoot them instead...

anyone with a brain, and that actually cares about the poor can find something wrong with this idiotic idea.

You give people something for free, they loose their skills to work and get it for themselves, permanently disabling the person. Have you never heard don't feed wild animals? you literally ruin their lives unless you feed them for the rest of their life. do you really think its compassionate to take, normal productive people and disabling them for life?

It's interesting to see how often 'progressives' offer rounding up and killing people as an alternative to not paying for them.
