Mini-Review
Blue Angels Thunderstreak 120mm 1:6 ARF build

Here's a quick review of the larger 1:6 scale Thunderstreak for 120mm. The goal was to have it flying at The Jet Jam in one week then with twin fans at Ejets in the fall if possible to convert. It's finished so it will be flying at the Jet Jam come and see!

It's quite large at 70" long and 50.7" wing span. Looking forward to getting it in the air!

Here it is on Phoenix Models website with particulars and a flying video.

Fan and receiver area. I wasn't thinking and reduced the size of the exhaust to fit the back of the fan rather than using the wooden filler bracket that can be seen laying here. Telemetry system with GPS mounted here as well.

If it isn't too late, you may want to wrap carbon tow around the inlet ducts. The BVM fan really sucks...

Nice Carl.

Whats the plan for the gap at the front of the fan and intake? Maybe the ring is meant for that, although not good either way...

Too bad they couldn't just make it a scale F-18, but maybe that is coming. Not that it looks bad....and I get the trouble with the F-18 landing gear. I think the fact they put the BA paint scheme on it makes it worse. Its like....let's make something new....but let's copy an overdone scheme. It deserves a cool original scheme.

I'm waiting for the 120mm Gripen!?
