Rainy, windy and cold. Completing my Tempest 1450 mm with 2 TT25. Used them far front to correct CG instead of adding lead
Suprastar F3A scratch built with 1 TT25 also soon completed.
Will show pics of installations

Is V5 still on hold?

Andrew you gotta get a grip on HK or you may regret what you wish for!!!

Here's a quote of a Q at http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...nd_System.html

" MasterB 268 points - 5/05/2015 - So what are the airframe requirements for this to work well? I mean, would it work in a light plywood and monokote structure of my 1.9m supercub? I assume the transducer needs to be fixed to something solid to work? "

There's *NO* mention of the TT-25 being a 'transducer' other than the vague reference in the title 'speakerless sound system.' Then they use the word speaker a couple of times in the description anyway.

I tried to write something explaining the differences but I wrote it as about 5 separate spaced sentences and HK posted it as on looong paragraph so it's pretty illegible and no one is gonna waste their time reading that much text. Duh.

You need to get HK to straighten up the description or you're gonna be flooded with 'I plugged the TT-25 in on my table and can't hear at all!!??'

Suplementry details

Andrew, if you are going to get full value from HK sales, may I suggest you include details on different ways to install transducers in your fitting instructions. IE for balsa and monocoat, add a small piece foam to the monocoat not touching balsa framing, for best results and any other tips you have found along the way, add to the box, also directions to here and your site.
Just an observation I am sure you have it under controle.
Good luck with everything

I have been using 1/4" foam plate about 4" round or square secured to the balsa frame and the covering. Should the foam plate not touch the frame? What about a fiberglass cowling?

I agree with these posts. We could use some "suggested installation techniques."

I went to the Hobby King site and posted some comments and my YouTube videos. Hope it helps.
