The 72'' is pretty big compared to the 57'' Extra in that pic. Does the 71'' Slick look about the same size as the 72'' Extra? I got a 71'' Slick on the way to me, it'll be here Tuesday

I have rcflightbook and it does way more than I am interested in using. I choose it because it is easy to export to save as a spreadsheet. Once you have your planes and batteries identified it is easy to just pick and select. I just don't get that serious about all the charging data. I don't push my batteries so I am not worried.

I think the slick is much fatter and taller.

Speaking of 71 slicks. I absolutely scored over the weekend at the huckfest. Noll traded me a red 71" slick for my 42" classic slick, then I sold my 60" red bull edge and bought a 70" Fantasy blue red bull slick from diggity that was originally owned by bivens. Joe said the red 71" has good Joo Joo after sitting at his house for months. I may need that down the road!

I'm debating a few options.

1. Sell one of my two slicks
2. Trade one for a 72" Extra and have both.
3. Keep both slicks!

57" Extra 330SC and 59" Slick comparison

I have the 57" Extra 330SC (Great plane!) and I am putting a new 59" Slick together.

For all who have both planes please specify what you like about both planes and describe the flight envelope of the 59" Slick, i.e., hover, harrier, elevator, knife edge, flat spins, blenders, parachutes, walls, tumbles, rolls, etc. I am especially interested in how the 59" Slick tracks and rolls compared to the 57" Extra 330SC.

I plan to initially run a "light" 4S set up on the 59" Slick with a Motrolfly 3620-750 and later go to a "heavy" 6S set up with a Torque 4016T-500. When I go to the "heavy" set up will I need to move my rudder servo to the tail of the plane in order to get a neutral to slightly nose heavy CG on the 59" Slick?

I want to get good to great 3D out of the 59" Slick, but I am more interested in the pattern/precision capabilities of the plane. That's why I plan to use a neutral to slightly nose heavy center of gravity in the 59" Slick.

Thanks for your help and expertise.

The 72" Extra is longer than a 71" Slick

Well, well! You'll be able to give your beloved 64" MXS EXP a rest after you get the
71" Slick in the air. Enjoy your new 71" Slick!

Looking forward to your video and flight report.
