Was thinking of the AIO or the Fatsharks, are the fatsharks better or the AIO, gotta be well made, reliable and decent video, and will last, looking at 300-400 max for the whole caboodle. Will be going on a RC plane initially, but moving to a quad in the new year.
Better if stock is in the UK, but would consider an import if better/cheaper stuff available.
Cheers,

Here's my shopping list for cheap-but-good FPV starters. Not all from the UK though.

http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr...-Menu-DNR.html good camera free shipping about 30

VTx & VRx from the same place http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr...iver-Kit-.html 50

eco goggle kit http://www.flyingwings.co.uk/index.p...product_id=382 10 plus http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/reversing-monitor-3-5 about 15

all in less than 100 leaving plenty money for Dragon OSD with return to home etc (JK, just bcse I se;ll 'em )

you might also want to consider better antennas (speak to Bignose) and a recorder for when you lose your plane

NB this stuff is transmitting video on 2.4GHz, so not suitable for 2.4GHz RC control. You have enough money left in the budget for a long range UHF system or use 5.8 GHz for video instead

d'oh that's a bit cheaper isn't it? though it's the heavier cased camera. Annoyingly, I just bought one of them from SC200 this morning!

James - nothing wrong with my phone AFAIK

She uses two types I think, one is a straight type and the other a bendy steerable thing. I don't ask too much really.

Thinking about it you could say she's done full on fpv.... When she did private work she used some equipment where the patient would wear sensor/reciever pads on their abdomen then swallow a tiny camera unit with an led and a transmitter that would last about 12 hours and show the route into the intestines. You don't quite get a live view but do get to watch the ground station recording afterwards!

I wanted to try swallowing one, but at over 2grand a pop per camera I didn't quite fancy it, especially as you literally flush the thing down the toilet at the end.

Micro vtx's are getting smaller and cheaper so might be able to diy it one day!

Yeh it totally depends on what you want. Learning FPV is sometimes easier with a screen, than goggles, or visa versa, 120 will get you flying fpv with basic clovers and screen and basic cam. If you have a fruity budget, get some AIO or even the new diversity goggles from Foxtech.

yeh surveil zone are pretty cheap, but sure sc2k has some more dedicated fpv cams.
only pain is Swisspost lol
