My pitts lol

heres my question if you dont mind . How come my pitts wont hover for long ?. I can get it to hover for a short time but thats it . is it my lack of hovering talent or the prop angle or the way its balanced???
I also have a full size radian and the same thing but then theres a guy on you tube hovering his radian like its a 3 d plane ! did he mod his plane ? iis it a cg thing or a prop angle thing. ?? sory for all the questions

as for the subject I haven't flown any of these lanes except the pitts and iv been flying the heck out of it so my next bipe will be the viking thats my input for this thread. Very cool looking and looks like it flies great

Lowest stall speed? Not counting the 1S brushed AS3Xtra, the Yak is the slowest.

I've had my Xtra for nearly a year now and my motor still runs as smooth as a whistle. It's a very good option in my opinion.

The Pitts has my vote, but I've never flown the beast to compare. The issue with the Pitts in a hover, is it gets quite the wing rock as each wing loses its lift, drops the wing, then the other wing drops and the first one catches the lift again. It's something to do with the draggy bipe design, and the actually air foiled wings, compared to the almost flat beasts wings.

You can hardly go wrong with any of the above.....both the Beast and Yak to me will do the most fast, violent, snap rolls.....will do several in the blink of an eye!

Wow Skyepuncher, having a bad day my friend? I have chatted with Dale lots in many different forums for a while now and found his posts to be just be meant to have fun. He is clearly a good flyer, but also likes to chat it up and liven up the forums.

In this forum a question was asked about how good some of the UMX planes are in 3D compared to others. He posted a simple video of his flying with one of them a couple weeks ago (and some darn nice flying in a very small space, I might add) others can compare that to the other planes for themselves. He didn't even put any text with it. Hard to see what you are going off on.

That said, we are all entitled to an opinion I guess but I for one actually enjoy Dale's posts a lot.

Dale,

Excellent flight vid my friend, though I thought you might be wiping your own nose with the tail feathers at around the 2:30 mark!

As for my vote, it is with the Beast 3D, LOVE that little plane though I have to be honest, I have never flown the UMX Yak so can't say what it is like.

Happy flying, and take it easy all.
Marlin
