SKYMAXY, i would no fly it on 3s, i could fly it on 3s, but it would fly like a cub at scale speed.
ralph, that is the way some people do it. it turns alot of planes into toothpicks though.
my train of thought is. me 109 was observed countless times turning sharper than a 6G turn. as were countless other planes. so if my plane is to be flown scale it has to be able to do a maximum performance turn (MPT) at scale speed.
G force = 1/cos(bank angle)
in a level turn.
cos (bank angle) = 1/G Force
6G +81 degree bank
i have one simple question for u. at 60 MPH can you do a procedure turn at 6G without falling out of it. the real ME109 can with alot of power in resurve. remember the 6G limit was the man not the plane.
the model should be able to do the same things the real plane did at "scale speed" if it cant you are using the wrong scale speed.
