I just flew my new 28 inch (475%) off the plans with the same power setup ¼ thick wing with spars and a ¼ square fuselage http://dragonplate.com/ecart/product...D=3662&cID=103

was just amazing rock solid, slowed it down but still fast 83mph

Looks like the power system I came up with back in the day is still the power system of choice.

There is a coupon code box at checkout, although I don't ever recall seeing a Stevens Aero code.
He will send out an email with a discount code when he attends some events.

I lost mine in the air. It hit almost straight down in soft mud. The motor was completely buried. Amazingly It did nothing to the plane. I love how cheap these motors are!

That is gonna be sick! Got any pictures? You scaled it up and built from scratch? Would love to see the details of how you put it all together. I've thought about doing this also....

got to fly it to day I call it Adrenaline-XL it was so smooth and fast it hit 100mph
only 3 min flight on a 1800 65c. I have 2degs down and 2 right thrust and it was straight as an arrow
The smaller kit plane was not as forgiving but way fast and fun

Is that on 3s? 4200kv on 3s should be much faster. I think you're running into the same issue I had with mine on 4s. The battery hanging below is causing a lot of drag and slowing this airframe down. I considered gluing a small foam cone on the front and rear of the battery to make it more aerodynamic, but never got around to it. The best I did with my AR on 4s was 108mph if I remember correctly.

yea I'm pushing the 30 frame with a 2505 4200kv just over 105 at 47 amp 500 watts 3s 5.2x5.2 prop.
I was able to get the original 23" frame faster then that just as not as stable it was not designed for that speed

I would not suggest trying too get the kit plane going over 75 or so this plane is super fun at that speed and as small as it is it looks even faster
