Number of RC related injuries/fatalities

Hey guys,
I'm writing a feature article in English at school on the FAA. Does anyone know how many injuries/ fatalities were related to multirotors/RC planes in general? Doesn't need to be exact, just a rough number. Cheers!

I know of a few deaths, there are probably more.
1. Badly designed ground stake pulled out during F3J glider tow, person hit in head, died.
2. RC heli hit a guys head (the pilot). Killed.
3. Spectator killed in Germany watching slope soaring.
4. Teenager out walking hit by out of control model in the UK, killed. (x2 one 11yr boy, one 14yr girl)
5. Spectators hit by large Pitts model at model airshow, 2 killed.
6. Flying lawnmower model into crowd at US football game, one dead.

You can add an injury to your list.......

I needed a few stitches after being struck with a spinning prop. I dare say that there would be a few more on here that may have suffered a similar injury.

In 2013, a (skilled) heli pilot was found dead next to his crashed machine in Switzerland:

Yeah, I've had a bit of that. Looking for more fatal injuries though

Well there are a lot of injuries, ask the hand surgery dept at your major hospital.
This was one. Not me.
There are the hairy chested brigade that start high power engines by hand Gas and nitro and the same caution applies to electric and they swear blind there is no problem.
"I have done it a thousand times".
Yeh sure but one day a fly settles on your nose and distract you, then what.!
There are plenty of debates on RCU. on this subject check them out.

Many of the purported "RC prop injury" photos circulating on RCG really don't have anything to do with RC. They're industrial accidents, run-ins with a meat grinder....

I don't know anything about the pics posted in this thread, but in general a lot of the gore turns out to be unrelated to RC.

If you're quite sure that's what you want to see, do a google image search for Roman Pirozek's fatal injury.

Not for the fainthearted.

That's what I call an open-minded approach to RC.
