ESC for SunnySky X3508S KV580
I have been looking for ESC's to go with my SunnySky X3508S KV580 http://www.buddyrc.com/sunnysky-x350...ess-motor.html I just ordered and was about to go with these http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZTW-SPIDER-S...item58b0495e51 ZTW Sprider 30A ESCs until i read the following post
"you only need one ubec and that will power your board and receiver with 5 volts. Just tap into your battery connector and your good to go. When an esc has no bec commonly called opto, that means it does not supply any power to the flight board or rx, so you need a ubec. If you are using pancake style motors that esc does not work well, the version off Simonk firmware causes the motors to stop when given full throttle. I exchanged mine for the ipeaka ones from altitude and they work great." - http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2149482
I am not very notigable yet and most of that is over my head but I think the motors I have are considered pancake motors so I am trying to see if that means I should stay away from SimonK or Opto or what! I am trying to find a good 30amp for under $16 each (preferably on ebay because i have credits to use that are expiring.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
