Go to the park, he might be there. They don't have a current entry list but I found him in some past race results.

Help from experienced Boatmen!!

6717 is the prop number . If you take a pic of it standing blades up I cant tell you what's Ben done to it but can tell you pitch . Most 6717 are 3/495 .

Lmao!! Not yet. I need to get a reciever to use with it. I do have a question for you... I have the new spektrum 4 channel radio with the dsmr. I havent had any issues with range on land, but the boat is obviously a bigger concern. A little harder to get to if it does go out of range. I also have a Ko Proko helios. What do u think I should do? I would need to buy a receiver for either if I use them. Which way should I go?? Or should I just breakdown and get a new reciever??

If you're going to use the Spektrum then get the Marine RX. I've driven my buddies boat with that in it and it works great. I've seen the regular RX's lose signal in under 100 feet on the water.

agree 100% with Ron. When you get into short wavelength stuff like DSM/2.4 GHz, you really have to start worrying about attenuation and multipath from things like reflections off of the surface of the water. Marine DSM receivers generally have two antennas, one you orient vertically like any other antenna, and one you have positioned horizontally. The Rx then has two signals to compare in order to make sure it's getting valid commands. Car/plane Rxs usually only have one tiny antenna wire sticking out of the Rx and I would never use one on a boat.

In the 4 years I've been running Spektrum DSM radios, I've not once had a radio problem. The nice thing about digital receivers is that they're basically one chip and a handful of resistors and capacitors, there's no potentiometers to freak out at the slightest bit of humidity. as far as I'm concerned, AM and FM radio systems belong in the dustbin.

I don't really know how to describe it, when driving my buddies Sprint Cat using the Spektrum radio with the Marine RX, I've never felt more connected to a boat. I told him that if he ever sells the radio I want it!
