Doh! I tried to paint the other pylon tonight but the airbrush won't pull paint. I messed with it for an hour, fully disassembled, cleaned, reassembled but nothing. It won't even pull straight thinner. I'll try again tomorrow.

I took the airbrush apart last night and cleaned again, this time also cleaning the air valve just in case… it worked! I was able to complete the pylons today. Ready for some sidewinders

Thanks! I really wanted to just go for it, but I decided to spend time on the primer, filling, primer, filling… I think that payed off in the end. I have much more patience in my "old age."

Whenever I do a maiden flight, the thing that helps me get confidence is to start by taxiing up and down the runway, faster and faster, and at some point applying full throttle and take off. That confidence carries throughout the entire flight...

It won't be that bad. I think I'm pretty mellow, even if I'm freaking out everyone else at the field :-) I still need to practice on some heavy planes before this one, but I'll be sure I'm ready before I take this one up.

I'm doing the same. You remember my Yellow F18? It's almost ready to fly, but since then I build a FlyFly F100, and will now build a FlyFly L39. Those are pretty big and heavy, even if made of foam (my F100 is now styrosprayed, weighing more than 10lb. It was 8.5lb before the StyroSpray...), so they will prepare me well. I already did 3 flights on the F100.

Nice job Wisdumb! I have been considering a similar paint scheme for mine but I'm still up in the air. I'm going to fly mine ugly for awhile and make her earn her paint!

I'm ready to start working on the cg thou and I can't remember what cg measurement Gunrad used. Maybe Kris or someone else could chime I on this???
