Tahiti ketch

Here is a 1" to 1' scale model of a Tahiti Ketch. Hull is 30". I made a plug and then a mold and then made a fiberglass hull. It is a static model. No motor. Boat was designed for amateur building in the late 30s I believe. I read quite a few of these circumnavigated.Name: DSCN0931.JPG

They were based on yachtified life-boats. I always dreamed of having one when I was a young reefer.

My understanding is they'll sail through anything, but they're slow.

A very nice model - have you consider doing another in RC?

These heavy blue water designs may be particularly good in scale. In scale, we are always facing heavy winds and seas
