Art Hobby Zuni-v conversion?

Guys, I was looking on the Art Hobby site to check the price on a Colibri and started to think the Zuni-v may be a better choice. Only 7$ more for the V-tail kit.

Thoughts?

I would say definitely a good choice. The extra wing span will help carry the motor and pod better than the Colibri, for lower wing loading and better float, but the altitude on boost will be slightly less. Its weight with pod and spent motor will be around 200 gm. which is good for S8Ep FAI class. [about the middle of the allowable weight range]

Post an update etc if you go for it.

Hello,

Looks good to me too, I think I'll get one of those too, Art Hobby planes are really nice quality, well made. I have 2 other gliders from them. Very happy with them. Also that airfoil is pretty fast too, and glides well at slow speed and the lift if built as light as possible is incredible, I have the same foil on my Falco V and I can usually stay aloft when others are sinking.

See ya, Rockitglider
