This is a follow up to Scott's meeting notes for Sept. 18th.

The Party will be on DEC. 11, 2012 at Chuck A Rama in Draper from 7-9 PM

We will need payment in hand by November 1st. Preferably at the club meeting on October 16th. $12 Adult, $10 Senior, Children 75 cents per year of age.

We need payment from a minimum of 25 people before we make a final commitment to Chuck A Rama. We must pay for 30.

No checks or cash will be deposited until we know we have met the minimum of 25. IF we do not have the party your money will be refunded.

We have a commitment of 12-14 from the 9/18 meeting.

So if you intend to attend the Christmas Party let Everett or Scott know as soon as you are able.

If you did not pay ahead of time, it is not too late. Show up at the Draper Chuck-A-Rama at the appointed time, sign in as IMSF, and give your dinner money to Everett, NOT to Chuck-A-Rama. $12 per adult, $10 for seniors over 60.

Raffle:
We have 10 each MRS gift certificates for $10 and $20, one $50 gift certificate, and a Radian PNP electric sailplane; all to be given away to those in attendance!

Awards for the best contest flyers of the year will also be given out.

I was very excited to find this in my mailbox today. Thanks to everyone in the club Mike Gibson for crafting this beauty and Scott Hinckley for mailing it to me. ( it is a true honor and I am grateful) I wish I could have been there to see the smile on wid's face that was a wonderful idea to honor him thanks to Lee and Ted for the time they put in

Though Mike Gibson has made some great trophies for us over the years, these trophies, as well as many similar ones in the past, were made by McGee's Stamp & Trophy on State Street in Midvale.

We had 31 present at the awards dinner, but would have liked more.
Everyone received a raffle prize, ranging from candy to a Radian PNP kit.

Wid Tolman was presented with a built and ready-to-fly foam 3m DAW KA6 sailplane from Sky King RC Products. Transmitter with carrying case, Sirius Charge, aerotow-ready, and bunches of other stuff came with it. This was built and paid for by individual club members in appreciation for the many years of service given by Wid to not just the club, but to Soar Utah and the many girls and boys he has taken to the slope to get a feel for RC gliders. Way to go!

A new year is about to start. I hope to see more of you out flying gliders and electrics this next year, for that really is the reason the IMSF exists.
