Hangar 9 B-25 Mitchell on e-Power

This is a video of the H9 B-25 featured in the Sept '08 issue of RC Sport Flyer magazine. This is on the recommended 4S setup. It's crazy powerful and fast on 5S, but requires going down from 13X8 props to 12X8. Top speed on 5S is 106 MPH vs. about 85 on 4S. Also, on 5S with rates turned up....it will knife-edge the length of the field

It's nice that the model can fly at scale faster than sound speeds and do non-scale aerobatics if that's what you wanted. I enjoy see scale WWII bomber models fly at as scale like speeds as possible and do scale like maneuvers. I really don't like to see that guy's huge B-29 model flying inverted 5 feet off the runway but that's just me and my opinion. BTW, it's a really nice B-25 model.

Thanks for the comments - and I agree...I have a bad habit of flying any type of aircraft like an aerobatic model. I need to work on the scale-flying skills, I'll be the first to admit. Pushing the model like this does at least demonstrate its capabilities to fly like a sport plane, even though that's not what it is meant for. Hangar 9 has come up with a real winner with the Mitchell ARF!

Hey Mike:

Ditto the comments. Excellent flying. That is the most aerobatic b-25 I have ever seen! It made me laugh to see you flying it inverted a few feet off the deck.
