The problem with the Berg RX is that it doesn't buddy box.

Where did you hear that? Don't let my Berg receivers know......

I've done plenty of buddy boxing with both JR and Futaba radio's using Berg receiver. For those not familiar with Berg receivers, they are some of the best 72MHz receivers on the market - very high quality.

The receiver has nothing to do with buddy boxing - it's the transmitter that controls all the buddy boxing functions if it's equipped to buddy box.
