With my EzUHF there is definitely a difference in power between using the radio's battery and the 3S lipo.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will get the 3S Lipo. For my steering problem, I found out the left steering servo is not functioning. Ordering the traxxas servo from the LHS.

I lost the LHS steering servo a couple of years ago, at the time I did think about buying two expecting the RHS one to smoke next.....but two years later it is still running.... so it was just a rouge one.
As for the 3S, I don't know what they reccomend, but I power my EzUHF with a 2200mah lipo, it is velcro'd to the outside of the transmitter, you may need a smaller dimension lipo to fit inside the case. But checkout Hobbyking they have a great selection and are a reasonable price. On the other hand the one that you highlighted looks pretty good, if it fits and you can charge it ok, then go with it.

My 360 servo only giving 180 on a POT

I have a 360 deg. servo for my pan. Using a POT, I only get 180 deg. My servo tester or mixing it to a switch gives me 360, but not with any of the POT's on my 9XR. Any ideas?

I'm using the OpenLRS so I don't know if there's a different output coming from the POT vs. a switch.

Just got an answer: for whatever reason, if you go to the LIMITS page in your TX (mine is Turnigy 9XR) and enter -100 in the left column, the GWS S125 1T servo will no turn 360 degrees. Yeah!

Hi Guys and Gals, can you all confirm an ideal focal length for the fpv camera please? I am thinking 2 to 3 feet from the front wheels? Any one think differently?

Which camera are you using?
Can you actually set the focal length?
Are you sure that you mean "focal length"?, as this is what determines a wide angle or telephoto lens.
The only way to change focal length is to either change the lens or have a zoom lens attached.
It is the aperture that determines what is in focus, which is usually adjustable.
Most small video cameras run with a fixed aperture to capture as much as possible.
On the GoPro, everything from close up to distance is in focus, as you need to see in your mirrors and what is 50ft in front of you when driving along.

Wrong terminology, what I mean is what do you focus the camera on eg what distance from the front of the truck. I am using a mobius as FPV and recording. I use these on all my FPV planes and leave the focus as standard but that gives me infinity to about 20 ft. This means that the dash on the truck is blurred.. With the board cam we used before we just focussed about 6 ft in front. Just curious that's all.

I'm not much help here, as the GoPro just gets everything in focus, so there is nothing to change or control. I, must admit, it has never occurred to me.........BigT, you've invested so much into your Tonka Summit, .........so if you can't get it sorted, ..........bite the bullet and get a GoPro, you won't regret it.
You can pickup the hero 3 for 165 in the UK.

So here's the update on my trip to Cornwall...........

I had the day from hell............first, sadly, Dizzy had a fall and damaged her knee the week before, so wasn't able to make it.......but, I met up with Darkelf as arranged........so I set up the GS, only to discover that the battery was flat on my GoPro, luckily I had another in my car, so a swift walk back was required to retrieve it.........new battery installed, we started our first run........after about 15 minutes the RockApe's motor went up in smoke........or that's what it looks like, (new motor on order, and should arrive tomorrow)........so we packed up and retired to the pub for a sandwich and a beer........came out and found that I had been given a 60 parking ticket..........maybe I should have stayed in bed.........still........on the plus side I did eventually meet up with Darkelf after all this time........so perhaps it was not so bad after all. ............ahhhh well............next time .............maybe it will be more successful.........
