Strange (real scale and RC) Hovercraft - from the past & futuristic.

Dear all,

I intend to make in this topic a kind of database of strange/different/unusual Hovercraft designs from the past and also futuristic ones.
Not only real scale but also RC models, not only real but also concepts, not only new designs but also the ones from the past.
I invite all the members to include some input and, make from this topic not only a collection of unusual Hovercraft designs but, a source of inspiration for our models.
I suggest one ppost for one design, lets see what we can do

Here goes my first contribution:

Class - Free "Flight" Model Hovercraft (Toy)
Year - 1978 (?)
Model - Galax IV Hovercraft
Maker - Testors

Free "flight" model hovercraft, powered by a Cox 0.49 engine. Skirtless design, Thrust and lift provided by a standard aircraft propellor.

CURTISS-WRIGHT AIR CAR “GEM”
early 1960
"It was fairly maneuverable and could reach speeds up to 38 mph. It was not really capable of all-terrain operation and never caught on commercially.
After several months of testing, the Army decided not to fund the project further, and it was abandoned in 1961."

"(...)An important feature for current investors is a hovercraft landing system instead of wheels, which means the hybrids can be anchored through suction on land or water, without the need for airport infrastructure.
