As if I dont have enough to do, ...

Well a few of you know I have been busy with something that doesn't fly, ... well sort of. Here is some pictures of the finished project. 3.5 month of spare time working in the summer, ... what was I thinking, ...

Like Forest Gump said when he ran from one end of the country and back, ... I think I'm tired, ... I'm going home now, ...

If only building planes were as fast and easy, ...

Bill

Thanks Carl,

Those pictures were with my cell phone and they didn't show the true colors, ... here are some I took this morning with my god camera. I also made the boat cart that the boat is sitting on. It can be completely broke down for easy transportation.

Hurry and get it in the water! very nice- what type of motor is that? Does it have a noise cowling?( a little carbon twill perhaps?)

Almost small enough to put in the pool, just can't turn around.

Is that the trailer or do you put it onto a different trailer to launch it?

Very cool

Scott,

The engine is a Yamato 102 Racing Engine and no that's all there is to it. 90 pounds of 400cc, 6600-8000 rpm power band.

No CF needed.

That's not the trailer, that's a boat cart I welded up. It's meant to take the boat in and out of the water from a sandy beach or just moving it around. The boat without motor weighs in at 125 pounds. 10'-2" length and 5' beam (width), ... Oh, ... did I mention it is only 12" tall and you sit in it on your knees at 60-65 MPH!

Here is a link to the build thread, ... http://www.glen-l.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15497

Gravity.

But a death grip on the steering wheel and the throttle wouldn't hurt.

okay-

Calm water at day break? I have been in small boats at that speed and getting thrown out is a real likelyhood when you hit waves.

Do add some sort of restraint( to the boat, not your building skills- obviously).

Helmet and lifejacket and away you go.

Day break is the only time most of the time, shes for glass or ripples not more than 6" or so. Te boat is completely out of the water 95% of the time so as long as I dont find a wake, ... I'm good to go.

Here is a video of the same class racing wit my motor. The hulls are more modern and taller in the cockpit area for safety, ... but the same speeds.
