Where do you fly at Schiller Park?
Warren! There's an RC field on Irving just west of Cumberland. Flew my U2 and micro Spitfire. Yesterday I went there with my Radian sailplane, had a great thermal flight, maybe a half hour.

I need to get my Catalina in flying shape again, love flying off the beach there at Montrose.

Do you have a post with the Solent? Sounds interesting.

Only in the off-season (NOT Summer). Now that school is back in session and the weather is cooler, the beach is almost empty. Invariably there will be about a dozen people stop by to watch the show. I've even had police stop and watch... no complaints. Of course use common sense and disgression to avoid any possible incidents.

I will have to get my permit now before I can fly again. I waited and missed early registration because AMA was trying to get everyone to veto it -- even though I'm not an AMA member. When are the events? I'd love to go. Do I need to be AMA to fly?
