Sudden raise of rotor rpm...

Hi all,

Recently, I am trying to make my JR GSR 260 Voyager gasser back into condition.
I has not been flown for a year and I have spent almost 2 weeks to start the gasoline engine again...

However, the engine speed behaved so strange as I increase the throttle. As I increase the throttle to 30%, is maintain a rpm of 700-800. But the rpm does not raise as I keep increase the throttle until 60%. The rpm suddenly raise to 1500 as the throttle go over 60%... Same problem occurs even after warm up... Any clues to the problem?

The throttle curve is linear.

it use a Zenoah G260PUH gasoline engine:

since you checked your throttle curve settings the next thing to check is the throttle linkage and arms.
On the zenoah carbs I reduced the spring tension on mine before hooking up a servo by moving the spring a couple of holes. You might be fighting that if the torque of your servo isn't above 30 in oz. Also check the set screw on the carb arm, since there isn't a flat spot it might be slipping, (don't ask me how I know about that) and re-locktite it.
