The wing and winglets are made of 3mm Depron, the profile fuselage of 6mm Depron.
The wings leading edge and the nose have been covered with clear tape.

The electronics come from a Parkzone Ultra Micro Sukhoi.

The Dead Simple Wing lives up to its name!
It is in fact extremely simple to build and very easy to fly.
The construction is nothing to talk about and i imagine that it could be customized
in various ways or used as a platform for other builds. It is dead simple.
In flight it is just as simple and flawless. Once in the air, when put on a trajectory, it flies like on rails.
Turns are clean and can be large and gentle or very tight. There's no sign of any bad tendencies.
The control surfaces responses are quick and precise around the center, even with a lot of travel.
Roll rate is satisfying, about 1 roll per sec..
Max flying speed seems about the same as with U.M. Sukhoi, but the wing accepts to fly pretty slow to.

Nice. Could you explain how you did the torque rods? I'm trying to figure out a good way to make the part where the pushrod and torque rod meet.

Hi Numanair! Thanks!
The torsion bars and pushrods are linked together with heatshrink and a drop of CA. The heatshrink allows for enough mouvement while not presenting any slack.
To obtain enough travel at the elevons, I've shortened the torsion bars a little. It's important that the torsion bars/pushrods/elevons move freely, before connecting them to the servos. It's too easy to obtain different travels, when you compare the two elevons travel at different points...
Hope this does help you? Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything else!

Happy landings :-)
