Help!
Large Rubber Bands Needed

Guys
I'm looking for a supplier of large rubber bands for my Quaker. I had some that were 6" long with a width of 1/4". Thanks for looking!

Fred,

If you get really stuck, SLEC in the UK have a good selection. Probably wouldn't cost too much to have a pack shipped to Florida.

Google " ALLIANCE RUBBER Big Bands Red Rubber Bands" or "Alliance Pale Crepe Gold Rubber Bands, 1 Lb. bx, Size 117B, 7" x 1/8"," on Amazon. I use both on my similar sized old timers. If you can use the red ones with your plane's colour, they work the best.

I think the Ben Buckle website has them.

You can cut them out of an old inner car tyre tube. Very strong.

slec - mentioned above has white 4" thru 7" and 8" about 1/4 to 3/8 wide - I use them on by big mamselle ( 108" span ) and majestic major

I buy #67 bands by the pound from SIG Manufacturing which are about 5-1/2" long if I remember right. They also have #69 bands. Both are 1/4" wide. You can also buy them by the ounce. They seem to last forever if kept in the box out of the sun.
