huh? The Devo tx's all use the same protocol. If it works with a 8 it works woth a 6, 7 and 12 also.
Or do you just mean actually sold with a 6 or 7?

I mean it may not be sold with a Devo 6 or 7. I think the main purpose of this heli is to sell the telemetry capable Devo 8s. People in China are very keen on the latest gimmicks, it is possible that this heli will not sell well elsewhere. After all, there are lots of Walkera helis that are rarely been sold outside China. So I wouldn't get too worked up about it if you are an existing Genius owner.

exactly. knowing walkera they made the heli RX not bind to current Devo 8 unless you buy and install the new module into the TX.

IMO, the longer tail boom is a side effect to increasing the main
motor (no more corless main). motor seems much bigger so it
probably has a good 'punch' compared to the coreless

I like the design of the vertical RX and new servo positions.
makes things more compact and brings more mass close to the
COG. Compared to the current RX orientation - the vertical one
is less prone to damage in a crash as it doesn't "stick out".

if it has a 6axis gyro like the GCP - hopefully it doesn't drift as hard..

Good for indoor. Very small for flying outdoor, though. Not much smaller than the Genius but harder on the eyes at a distance, even just a little bit, would be bad enough.

I like it a lot, nonetheless. I like the simplicity of the RX with only 3 axis. It looks lighter but it has what seems to be a better motor than the GCP and it comes stock with 250mAh batteries. It's definitely going to pack more punch than the GCP. Good to see removable skids on this one, too.

I think it's simply a better heli than the GCP. I'll probably get one if good reviews confirm my first impressions so long as parts are interchangeable with the GCP.

I didn't buy any heli's last year. I think I'll make up for it this year.

This blows away every known competition by a mile. I wonder whether it will be reproducible in other people's hands.

Well its either a truly remarkable Pilot or it flips much better than even the genius However I can see why people are getting annoyed - walkera have been listening to our complaints and instead of improving the genius with separate skids etc - they have put the improvements into a new model however they have also put things into it I really do not like so jury is still out.

Looks like both to me.

I'm not worried about the pilot part. It is what they don't show that scares me the most. They didn't show how well it takes a "hit", yet with the Gcp sales video, survivability was shown as one of it's important features.
