I hear you my friend this is why I'm planning to fly it again unless I have at least a 2200 kva motor and healtier battery! Cheers for that!

I need to place another hobby king order soon. Any recommendations for a motor from there that would give more thrust and speed than a 2212-6?

Well, speed is sorta limited on this bird due to the inlet dividers blocking a lot of airflow. I think the only thing you can do to go faster is leave them off.

If you want speed, try the Saab Draken from Marcel or the Nico Hobbies Concorde. Both do about 75mph on the 2212-6 system.

My F22s (100% & 65%) do not have inlet plates. Didn't see the need and I thought airflow was more important than looks.

I don't think you could go past the 2212-6, if you can't get a LSSPJ motor.

The F-22 is one of my favorite planes, and following the Draken I want to build one these. I am not opposed to just buying another 2212-6, but if there was a bigger/better/faster setup for cheap...

Here is my 50% F-22. The whole plane is made from 6mm depron foam. It is running on Hobbykings 18-11 2000kv brushless, 10 amp ESC, and two 3.7 gram servos. I have 3 different batteries to run on this plane. With a 350mah 3s AUW= 97grams, 500mah 3s AUW= 108grams, and 800mah 3s AUW= 126 grams. The 500mah battery gives this plane unlimited vertical (limited due to the fact i have no rudder to keep it straight) and about 5 min flight times. I have not yet tried the 800mah yet. I love this little plane and its pretty quick for it size. Speeds are probably close to 40 mph. I would highly recommend building it. The plane next to it in the pic is my full size f-22 by rcpowers. Its a fun 80mph jet on the super mega jet V2. Its running on a 2200mah 4s putting out just over 1000watts and 40 oz of thrust. HOLD ON!!!!

just flew 2 of each batter and I think the 500mah is the best size of the three. It gives a 1:1 ratio for thrust for good performance. I was getting about 7 mins of hard flying and the motor came down a little warm and the battery was at about 3.8V per cell. The 800mah battery was a little too much for the ESC. It caused my ESC to go into thermal shut down and the plane crashed with minor damage to the nose. That battery is ok if you take it easy and it will give over 10 mins of flying. The 350mah was light and fun but you sacrifice on the flying time. Well thats my review of this plane. It has been a blast to fly and will continue to be a blast for a looong time.

Well since I cap sized my Polaris in the sea lately with a 2200kva and 2200mAh battery and 40 amps ESC... Fortunately when I reached home I passed everything under soft water and let them dry outside for the night.

To my surprise in the following morning, I hooked up everything together and all was fine... So I decided to place these electronics on the F-22...

Cheers buddy, made an inboard cam video by the end o the afternoon but I still need to edit it. It was a bit windy today to have nice and level flight but I dhould be able to manage something out of it...

Next trial I will need to place my cam slightly lower to have a better ground view.

You can allways put the e-flite six series 2700kv motor on it, run a 6x5.5 prop on 3s 2200mah flight times are short but vertical is unreal !!!!! Makes for a lot of fun harriering back down from 600 feet. You can put that motor on a stryker motor mount, the prop won"t hit the ground an you can take off without hand launching.......... or you can just stand it on the tail in the bed of your truck, an take off vertical.
