hobbycnc with linux cnc questions
I am having trouble getting the steppers to move. I am making a winch style cnc foam cutter.

it could be anything depending on your setup i use match3 it may be better to ask on Dave hobby cnc forum if you think it is a problem with the board if not let us now what software you are using

yes it is linux cnc, formerly emc2. I have the steppers running now but there are so many stting I am confused on what is correct.

Have you been through the quick start guide? http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/LinuxCN...ng_Started.pdf In particular, chapters 5-6-7 are very informative. I ran it for a while but switched back to Mach3 because of familiarity. If you have some more specific questions, I'd be happy to try to help out. Tom |
