Video
Vyper flown by Scott Stoops

Here's a video of what I think is the first official flight of the Vyper by Scott Stoops at the 2009 Arizona Electric Festival.

It was an unusually rainy, cloudy day...but I think the video came out well.

Enjoy...

Yep. First flight with the design, just feeling it out. The first sample literally just showed up from the factory. Got a lot lower and better later in the day right up to the midair. Thanks for posting that.

Thanks! We can't wait to carry these in our shop!

However I was curious about the music. Who is the group and song?

Thanks - Chris

A big foamy in and put a direct hit on the Vyper. The foamy went straight the ground, and guess what? The Vyper kept flying - for a little bit. It finally landed, but the wing was ripped off. This morning they had a new wing on and had pretty much fixed it up.

Thanks for watching..... 3DHS did a fantastic show at the AEF 09 again!

Music is from an old sound track in Simply Irresistable.... Katalina: Bewitched, Bothered, Bewildered

BTW...I just uploaded a fantastic show by AJ and Bonedoc at the AEF09.:

When Ben said I could try the Vyper on the last last day of the AEF 2009, I did not hesitate! I am nowhere near Scott's fantastic flying capabilities, but YES .... it flies smooth and like a pussycat!

If one knows the characteristic range of 3DHS's 47in planes, it flies like a cross between the Aspera and the Extra SHP.

That is a very accurate statement. It has the Aspera's line-drawing ability, while now adding SHP's 3D ability and floatibility .
