LX F18 EDF intake lip

Hi All,
Ive been out of EDFs for a few years and out of current thinking.
Im putting together a twin 70mm EDF but am a bit concerned about the ducting between the foam intake and the EDF.
Im not using the LX 70mm fan but the foam is moulded for their fan and intake ring.

Im using the wemotec EVO 70mm unit, and there is a gap between the fan and the duct. ( The exit joins perfectly as a matter of record.

Ive enclosed pics, and Id appreciate some views- am I worrying over nothing, or is it worth digging into the foam to insert the wemotec intake ring?

Im bearing in mind that the ducts are long and its a draggy airframe so my thoughts are not to be too pedantic and not to strive for perfection.

If the lip on the Wemo won't fit, I would upt a small bead of silicone, around the leading edge of the shroud, at the bottom. This will seal that small gap & keep the fan from shifting. If your not looking for "perfection", this will more than suffice...Once you latch down the access cover, you should be O.K.

The uneven intake will affect performance so I would take the time to fit some type of bell mouth to smooth out the airflow.

They only take Western Union for payment & I'm scared to use that kind of payment is it a scam? I like paypal at least I'm safe with it. Pleas replay if anyone has used them for parts.
Thank You
P.S. I know this is probably not the place to post this

I hadn't thought of using silicon to make a lip.

Im also concerned how well silicon will stick to foam- I don't want a great bit coming off and destroying the blades!

Do you have any experience using silicon and foam?
