I've flown mine on 4s 4400 revolectrix packs (x2) that weigh 500g each. The plane still flys great. On windy days I actually like the feel a little better than the Gens Ace 3800 packs (425g) that I have.

This morning I flew a friends 71" Slick and have to say I was unimpressed with the power of the Motrofly 5320 300kv on 8s 4000s Gens Ace setup.

Seriously considering going to my old setup of 10s with the Hyperion ZS4045-12.

I checked the weight of the planes and the Pilot Yak was 10.5lbs and the 72" 330SC is 9.5-11lbs.

Anyone using this plane on 10s and getting good results?

What prop and all? I have a 4 year old 5320 in my 74 on 8s, it's a 330 running a 19x8. Just got back from ken with a little repair and running a fresh set of Rhino it has plenty for me.

+1. I run the 300 on 8s with a xoar 19x8 gas version (due to my altitude). Has plenty for me. I suspect an issue with packs or esc if you're not at least satisfied.

Yeah the setup was with ice 100 pro Bec and a Xoar 19x8 prop. I have had tons of electrics and this one was definitely lacking oomph!
I'm going to test on a bench a Motrofly 5320 300kv with an apc 20x10 and see what the eMeter reads.
The guy who owned the slick said it needed a throttle curve but all my electrics with good esc have never needed throttle curves.

I'm only at 2200ft, but I find the Xoar 19x8 electric prop isn't enough. I have some 330kv's and it's a little better on those, but the gas prop gives more thrust from my experience (and it comes in pretty colors). Motor is still cold after my flights, so there is room to prop up if desired. Just have to mind the hard 3D prop size warning on the Motrolfly site.
