Ok now I'm scratching my head a bit because I want to have my Ailerons come down a bit as flaps but keep my Flaps on my 3 way position switch.
I have the DX7 and a 6 channel RX
I tried the flaperons mode but like that I loose my 3 position switch for my flaps as they end up on my Gear switch.
I tried to do some mixing but no luck .
Maybe someone in here would have an idea or has done it .
Cant keep scratching my head because I dont have much hair already

This is for crow settings (flaps down and ailerons up), but you could switch ailerons so they go down instead of up.

Got wheels on it for now, not brave enough to fly it off the pond out back yet.

I should probably mess with the flaps at higher altitudes until I get a good feel of how they work.

Yes climb a bit higher and try them, it will most likely pitch up a bit .
I did program some down elevator trim on both flap position.

I've got them plugged into the gear switch on the RX. Is there a better way to do it?

What Transmiter are you using?
I use the Spectrum DX7 and AR600 RX the flaps are plugged in the AUX1 and I use the 3 position mode switch and flaps system act and feed in the values for the take-off and landing and the elevator values for each position.

Dx6i and a 6 channel RX. It has a flap toggle switch, but I don't know how/if that can be programmed to activate the AUX channel. I haven't really programmed much other than the basic stuff.

I dont know the modes on the DX6i but if you have no 3 position switch you will only have 1 flap position anyway.
Maybe there is some programing possibilities in that DX6i to give some elevator values up or down when flaps are selected.
If not just dont drop the flaps at a fast speed and you wont pitch up too fast and maybe you wont pitch up.

Maybe others know this radio here.
Ok I'm going to fly now , hope the weather holds but its cold . might not fly much.

There are no knobs on the 6i, just toggle switches and a button. So the flaps would be fully deployed instantly, causing it to pitch up like you said.
