One more picture.
Did another pcb this morning using Koichi's method to see if results could be repeated easily. 0.1mm pcb material.
This method is quick, cheap and effective.

Is it common in US ? http://www.techniks.com/
Press-n-Peel Blue Transfer Film may be one of the solutions.

The lightest circuitboard is not having a circuit board? Much quick than making a circuit board too?
Just a thought?
Mark?

A circuit without circuit board needs some wire to connect the legs of SMD parts. This work may be very complicated usually.
It may be effective only for the units which requires very few parts. Koichi and Dave had built simple circuit without circuit board already. It may be impossible to build Koichi's new IRXA301-3 without circuit board.

David,
I got my ir system working , I made a new miniTx on a pcb kept the resonator in close to the pic , re-used the original pic worked right off .
I think my hunch was right that the unit i built on vero board wasnt tight enuff -the resonator was too far away from the pic .
I tested it with the 3 servo Rx it worked normally so my budy box unit must be not working properly - least i know i have an rx that works so can use it to work with the tx - am wondering if my model tx needs a modified circuit ?oh for a scope !
see the picture of the mini tx with both boards next to each other

what values did you use for trim parts on your TX?
I'm going to have to add some to mine. They worked ok with magnetic actuators but with the MW actuators it needs some seroious adjustment.

Billy,
I used 5k 25 turn trim-pots, I also changed the 3.3k fixed resistors to 1k . I preset the pots to have a serial resitance with the 1k resistors of 3.3k befor inserting the pic and fireing it up .

Thanks for the info on the resistors.

Dave
Here is a direct link to babelfish with english translation of Koichi's page. It should be valid till AV changes babelfish interface.
Seems like they used to show the CGI url when you translated a page but now it is not present.

Supplies arrived which will allow me to get this one finished.
BBA should be well suited to this type of model.
Working towards some living room aerobatics.
Loops,rolls and inverted hopefully.
Thread rigging is to give wing some torsional stiffness to handle manoeuvres.
I believe model could be built closer to 7 gram giving it a thrust to weight of almost 2:1.

6mm motor
5 inch prop
6.7:1 gear ratio
E-Tec 90
IR Rx
area 76 sq/in
loading 0.54 oz/sqft
weight 8 gram
thrust to weight 1.75:1

Dave,
well done , most people are struggling to get enough thrust to weight to fly normal circuits looks like you have a liveing room hovering aerobat there .
