I just watched it.. at least the Horizon promo..

Super Decathlon 100cc ARF by Hangar 9 (2 min 47 sec)

Here's the link to the plane info:

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...cc-arf-HAN1070

It looks really nice... all except for the price tag.. geez.. Its pretty much out of line on price I'm thinking... I'm sure its a large plane.. and very attractive.. but.. I won't even mention price.. haha.. dreams are free..

One thing I do know, is McConville designs are pretty incredible... I just don't think they're that incredible. That much money would take me and the wife a long ways. I'd say its out of my league in that aspect..

I'd have no way to justify it.. to my wife whos a pushover at that, or even to myself. Have a look.. it'll blow your mind.

Nice plane but the $$ is out of my range, I guess it's not bad though for a plane that size.

Price is not out of line for a ARF that size.
Hanger 9 is not a crazy company that will leave you hanging if you need any help.
Always good value for what is provided.

I agree. Just because I can't afford it doesn't mean it's overpriced.

I really wish they had put flaps on this one, it would have made a nice sailplane tug.

BUT, I did make the wing structure such that htere are sub-spars in the correct location so flaps can be cut out, balsa faces added on the sub-spars and flaps hinged. There are also areas for flap servos under the covering.
I went with no flaps because flaps arent scale. However made it so they can be added with a little modeling for those that do want to use it for a tow plane.
