Maersk models at Dutch Working ship Meeting, SMG IJmond, Heemskerk Netherlands

Yesterdag I visit the Dutch Working ship meeting at the ship Modelling Club IJmond , Heemskerk Netherlands.

The complete Dutch maersk modelling fleet was present.
With good weather but with heavy modelling wind it was great to sail in the modelling harbour of the SMG IJmond.

I made the second test sail with my new model of the maersk topper, scale 1/50.
With experimental brushless drive unit, extremly powerfull anf very usefull for tug models.

Please look at some photos.

Fantastic as always, Leen.

My dream: Win the lottery, and retire to Heemskerk. I wouldn't even have to learn a new language- everyone there speaks better English than I do!

Thank you Leen,

Maersk Kaikoura appears to be new this year.
It looks like a fun ship for towing.
Maersk trader appears to be progressing well also.

Man, I can't wait until I start my build of the Maersk Lifter in 1/48 scale. Just have to finish a few other things that I have going at this time.

The Kaikoura is by the same bloke that's doing the 1:65 Emma Maersk. Can't wait to see that at Heemskerk!

Patmat, you're right. In my travels overseas, I've found that the Dutch are VERY well-versed in other languages, especially English---.

And then, there are us---.
