Just to let everyone know, I built what Bill calls a "prototype" kit. Simply amazing! The parts fit and the sheer number of precision parts was incredible!
I was able to assemble (note:assemble not build!) the whole airframe in just a couple of evenings. EVERYTHING either locks together or in some way self aligns no way to screw this kit up!
The only thing I used a knife for was to release the parts from the sheets!
If you look at Bill's pics please note that every little part you see is already cut and ready to go...the amount of time Bill must have in this kit just drawing up the massive number of parts staggers me! By the way this plane is light! to the best of my recollection the bare airframe weighs in around 4 ozs. (don't have my note with right now so I may be off a little) and it is VERY strong...the wing feels pretty much bulletproof..I beam spar, T beam leading edge and a boxed trailing edge...this thing is NOT going to flex in the air!
Ok you want to know how the plane flys?...well me too! Due to situation beyond my control the madien flight have been postponed until TONIGHT!...Auto accident, Fathers day, Yard work, a wedding all took their toll on my flying time last week!
Will report later tonight on flight performance, but this thing is pretty light and has quite a bit of wing area so should do well.
More Later....Sorry you will just have to wait a while!
