Clearly someone did not do their homework. From the holes in the shirt I'd say they got a lesson in rocketry they will never forget.

Also I think that a few bits of tape are more than is needed to secure an "E" class hobby motor to anything. The motor clearly came loose and changed the angle of thrust...a lot!

I'll have to remember this when I build my rocket boosted ME-262 Hope it doesn't meet the same fate.

we have been doing that to the Estarter for 6 months.... some with success and others not so pretty.. no injuries other then broken props

that and a bunch of other videos... GWS F-15 and Corsair touch combat... and a rc car filmed by a EFlite CX heli.... almost had a mid-air when the car made the jump....

he mounted the rocet engine toooooo far behind the CG if he put it under or forward it should have hop up in under a foot


will this work may do this with a smaller motor for testing

It should work exactly as per your drawing. It would be nose heavy on takeoff, when the ejection charge hits, the motor casing would be ejected and the CG would return to normal...... exactly what you would want in a quick takeoff boost system.

The one posted above. The instant the rocket is fired, we're all staring at grass or the pavement. I mean seriously... if you're going to film something like that, put it on a tripod or get someone that knows the lens part needs to be pointed at the subject being filmed.
