Old kit by Bridi (Vagabond) need info.

I just found this kit on e-bay, Bridi Vagabond. Can anyone tell me when this kit came out? Anyone have any stick time on one? Looks like a great plane.

Brian.

Never flew one. Actually, never saw one either, but I think it is one of his newer designs from after he sold much of his work to Great Planes. Notice that it is similar in appearance to an Ultra Sport (Which is just a Super Kaos in a jet like costume.)

It looks like it has the same wing as the Kaos, but tail feathers more like his older designs. (Older...hell, the Kaos was "old" in the early 70's, and I still think of his "Dirty Birdy" as being "new")

Frankly, anything Joe Bridi designed flies well, so you won't be dissappointed with it.

By the way, there is an outfit that is still kitting and selling some of Joe's planes.

A slightly changed Kaos design. I had one. Long ago, around 1985 I think. Added a full turtle deck and enlarged rudder. Flew in Sportsman pattern. Nice flyer like all Bridi's stuff.

I have had one of these for around 10 years. I've been told it's a Kaos with a Turtle deck. Double taper wing, flies easily, tracks well, and is tough. Will not tip stall. The initial version had no way of keeping the wing straight during construction, so prepare to build some fixtures!! The first time I flew this plane I had one friend tell me he had never seen me fly as well. It's a testament to how well these fly.
