Servos : 2gram ? Are they JR or mini JST plugged you use ?

Rx - Parkfly mini Rx's of course ? I have FrSky gear and of course the small 4ch FrSky Rx is small ... but is it small and light enough ? Obviously these are JR plugged ..

Motors used ... ?

LiPo size ?

Prop ?

I note that prop-slot is used ... what about strengthening the airframe because of that slot ??

I see HK have not only jets but also biplanes, sport planes as well ... what do you reckon ?

I'm away for another 6 - 8wks .. so building up a list and ideas for the return home and start on this ...

There's no worry bout my flying ability ... I fly fast, slow, EDF, pushers, heli's, sport, aerobatic, pylon ... you name it - I'm game on !!

Hi Nigel,

For the specs on the Dollar Jet you may want to check the build video.
There you will see the details parts to build it and the steps on how to build it.
And while you are at it, you can subscribe to our channel, more videos coming !

As a return gesture ... subscribe to mine ?

11 May 2013 T45 Pusher (4 min 22 sec)

As a taster !!

OK ... I've put together a list of what looks a good foundation - based on your success etc.

Models from the HK free-flight / rubber power range

Slot prop Pushers :

SU27 ... Falcon ... Raptor .... F18 - these would be relatively easy to convert as your model ... as they have good surface area for slot prop.

Tractor / Pusher prop front or rear :

Alpha ... Red Arrows ... - not enough body to the model for slot-prop.

Motor : Turnigy 2204-1450kv 19gr as you used. Or the higher kv Donkey engine

LiPo : 2s 500

Rx : FrSky 5ch mini JST connector

Servos : HK5320 1.7gr

Total all in is about $35 + shipping.... if the LiPo can get through present troubles ...

There is also the Fokker DR1 ... which would make a good tractor prop job, with same gear ... but that's not a pusher of course ...

Yes - I'm very very interested in having a go ...

I have been a medium to big model fan for many years and only over these last few years grown to like smaller ... Recently building the 1/2 size WOT4 clone ... as I call it - the Mini4 - has shown me just what small model can do ... helped by my 50mm EDF ...

Count me in as part of the Micro Cheap Jet team !!

Wondering if a combination of this :

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1636399

http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-WL...s-p-38688.html

with 1S LiPo .. would be any good ?

Cheap, light, marries all into one board .. Rx, Gyro, Servos(2) .. is 9x compatible ... and works a geared brushed motor cheap enough on HK ... the GA-7 and GA-8 ...

??

I guess the only way to know for sure is by trying
It looks good as long as you get enough power (thrust) to push the plane around, looks like an inexpensive/lighter option.
Let me know if you tried and how it flies.

Nigel: Don't waste your money! I did. They don't even fly as gliders. Here's a picture for comparison. Tex.
