Looks like a great 450 heli. Looks. very promising. just weird they are calling it a 360 when the blades are a little bigger than the 450x

Very nice heli with all the nice parts we want

Looks like Align have met there match now for the 450L dominator,a few negative observations i spotted though, the servo leads could have been hidden away a little neater, also the head linkages look a little complex in comparisson to Align helis of this size.

If you look at Aligns head assembly they are a very simple configuration,i don't like those linkages to the swash coming out sideways, they can be nasty in the event of a crash to repair. (i have had helis before with a similar system) Just not sure that there is any need for such a complex looking rotor head assembly.

But don't get me wrong it looks fantastic,i'm just saying it as i see it,at this price point i'm nor sure do i like that rotor head set up.

Saying all that i never owned a blade heli so i can't comment, this one does look tempting, and i really do like that it's all spektrum stuff onboard too, servos RX etc....

I'm not trying to big one brand up and cut another,it's just that normally i would tent to go with the most simple heli to work on and especially around the rotor head the less parts the better.....

To be honest it's a little dated looking compared to Aligns rotor head design, this is the only negative observation i have on it,other than that it looks very nice.

In fairness the Blade's head looks quite complex for my liking, for a Flybarless design it's a little behind the times.

Not intrested in this one/.

On a final note why am i comparing this to Align, well lets be honest they are the two best brands of this size blade and align, i had been waiting for this one for a while and am a little dissapointed TBH.

Sorry to put it so blunt, might aswell say it as i see it,the blade may aswell still have the flybar on it with that amount of stuff on the head.
It's just my opinion and i'm sure others may even like it,i just like a simple enough set up to work on and sometimes the less parts the better.

Dan

The 500 dominator does have the same kind of head. Not your regular dfc head. Don't know why if the others dominators do have the dfc head

Dan,

You're getting into a real "Coke v Pepsi" area there - there are some pretty strong technical arguments against that Align DFC head that you show and some manufacturers such as SAB have moved back from the DFC-style to the separate swash followers as in the Blade head.

Personally I have a T450 Pro stretched out to run 360mm blades like the new 360CFX and it has real "pop" - I love my Blade 300CFX , so will watch this with interest.

Cheers,
Mike.

Not sure which helis have that design but i'm not a fan of it,that's why a lot of aligns latest helis have the DFC type head, less parts, maybe your on about older align helis?

Hi mike HRC,

Not sure what technical debates were going on but i'm just giving my opinion on what i like myself personally,i really like the DFC head for ease of maintainence and less parts to work on and maintain.

But look each to there own.

I hope it's as good as the 180CFX.

I'm glad to see they included a visible colored canopy. Rather than a blue/green canopy, trying to make you buy replacement immediately. A dirty trick.

Align used that style of swash linkage on their 450 PRO V2.
The next generation went to the DFC style links.
If you search some, manufacturers are going back to the non DFC style.
Just an observation.
